Rising Stars Success in Abbottstown and Beyond!

NI & Ulster Indoor Age Group Championships

It was a busy start to March for some of the Rising Stars as they made the trip to Abbottstown for the NI & Ulster Indoor Age Group Championships.

Among the standout performances, Nyla achieved a personal best in both the 60m Hurdles and Long Jump. Fiachna secured second place in the 60m Hurdles and High Jump. Maisie clinched third place in the 60m, delivering a stellar PB performance. Isabella and Rebekka claimed gold in their respective events, with Isabella clearing 1.5m in the U15 Girls High Jump and Rebekka dominating the U14 Girls 60m Hurdles.

Into the endurance events, Ollie came 3rd in the U15 Boys 800m setting a new PB. Adam getting Gold and Silver in his two events (Gold in the U16 Boys 1500m and Silver in the U16 Boys 800m).

 

Jimmy’s 10km

Cormac and Ollie joined forces for the Jimmy’s 10k Relay to take the overall win.

 

Irish Schools Cross Country Championships

Meanwhile, at the Irish Schools Cross Country Championships, members of the Rising Stars squad delivered impressive performances. Notably, Cormac's school team, St. Malachy’s, emerged victorious in the Minor Boys race.

Congratulations to all the Rising Stars for their outstanding achievements throughout March. Anticipation is high for an action packed outdoor season.
