Outstanding Athletic Achievements at the Local Women in Sport Awards

Combined Events athlete Brynja Brynjarsdottir (City of Lisburn AC), received the ‘Editors Choice’ award at the Local Women in Sport Awards Gala last weekend. Brynja was delighted to be recognised and rewarded for her track and field achievements, crediting her coaches Wendy Phillips and Phil Snoddy.

Additionally, Anna Gardiner (East Down AC), coached by Peter Morgan, was awarded ‘Best Athlete of the Year’ for her cross country performances. Representing Ireland at the European Cross Country Championships last December and the World Cross Country Championships last month.

Congratulations to Brynja and Anna on being recognised for their athletic performances, and a nod of appreciation goes out to their dedicated coaches.
