Online Entry System & Certified Course Measurement

Athletics Northern Ireland is now able to offer use of its popular online entry system to all licensed event organisers.  It has been very successful so far, with up to 1000 entries per event coming in online! No matter what size of race you are planning, from a community fun run to a national championship, we are able to cater for you.

With no set-up charge you needn’t worry about how many entries you get – all you pay for is the handling fee per entry (typically £1.50 or £2, see T&C), which organisers have the option to add on to entry prices rather than pay out of the race’s income.

Athletics NI Online Entry System

The system offers organisers great flexibility, with many options including:

  • Ability to separate multiple races within a single event (ie 10k, fun run, walk, etc)
  • Offer individual or team entry
  • Have different entry fees for club members, different age groups, etc.
  • Automatically charge late fees at a certain date
  • Ability to tailor entry confirmation emails with event-specific information and attachments (ie flyer, sponsor form, partner company vouchers/promo, etc)
  • Merchandise ordering & size/colour specification for event freebies/purchase options
  • Option to pay ANI permit fees out of entry fees

Athletics NI Certified Course Measurement

From 1st October 2010, races that have been officially measured will be identified on the fixture list by a tick in the appropriate column on the downloadable calendar and by display of Athletics NI’s new Certified Distance Kitemark logo on entry forms and promotional materials.

To arrange for your race route to be officially measured please email John Glover - johnt.glover441@gmail.com

Only races which are identified on the fixtures as certified distance will be eligible for rankings & records consideration.  Runners should treat un-certified races as ‘approximate distance’.

Contact Clare McCoy on marketing@athleticsni.org for the logo.

Branding Recommendations for Licensed EventsLogo-AthleticsNI.jpg

We recommend that as an official rubber-stamp of your race’s quality and safety, the Athletics NI logo is displayed on any flyers or promotional material associated with the race.  Many of you already state that your race is run under Athletics NI rules, which is great, however including the logo of the governing body will help to increase awareness and become a recognisable seal of quality.

Please note that "The NIAF" is now rebranded to "Athletics Northern Ireland", and the logo can be obtained on request from Clare McCoy marketing@athleticsni.org Tel 028 9060 6964.
