Reynolds lowers NI 110mH Record to 13.75s

There was more success for NI athletes at the Namur meeting in Belgium as Ben Reynolds broke his own NI record again in the 100m Hurdles by taking 0.23 of the record for new figures of 13.75 (w1.8).

Reynolds won the final ahead of Ali Hussein Al-Zaki after earlier winning his heat in 14.00s. Reynolds is now ranked 4th in Britain behind Lawrence Clarke who was selected for the European U23's.

It will now by a waiting game for the North Down athlete to see if UKA will select him on this performance. Dean Adams followed up his U23 win last weekend with a seasons best time of 10.79s (w1.5) in the 100m A Final, his second fastest time to date. He earlier ran 10.81 in the final.

Zoe Brown showed a return to form by winnin the Pole Vault in 4.01m while Claire Wilkinson was 4th with 3.61m. Adam McMullan had another great leap of 7.44 although wind assisted to finish in 2nd place.

Commonwealth athlete Kelly McNeice (Lisburn AC) had a good race to finish 2nd in the 800m in 2.07.41 behind Angie Smith of New Zealand. U23 champion Joanna Mills finished third in a 400m race won by GB & NI's Nicola Sanders with a time of 54.29 with clubmate Jo Patterson 6th with 56.56s.

Hannah Lewis who has made a fantastic comeback in 2011 and finished third in the 200m (24.68) and Jo Patterson was 7th in 25.55. Jason Harvey was 6th in the 400m in 49.49s.
