Up and Running Half Marathon Series

The race series in 2012 will require competitors to complete 6 of the 8 races and must do 3 from Larne, Omagh, Newry and Lisburn and 3 from Ards, Dervock, Cookstown and Manorhamilton or Waterside. 

The cumulative times of each competitor will be taken to calculate the rank in each category.  If a competitor finishes in more than 6 races then their best 6 times will be used provided they still have completed 3 races from the first 4 races and 3 from the second 4 events. A competitor will stay in the age group they ran in at their first race which is either Larne or Omagh. 

Where two or more competitors have the same cumulative time at the end of the series then their fastest applicable time from their 6 counting events on the series will be used as a tie break.

• Half way times in the Newry Marathon or the Dervock Marathon will be admissible if so desired.
• Any runner completing all 8 races will get a commemorative garment.
• The prize structure is shown below.  Prizes will be in the form of vouchers from Up & Running.

The 8 races taking part in the series are as follows (enter each race independently but make sure you use the same data each time, e.g. spelling of name):

Larne Half Marathon – March 24th
Omagh Half Marathon – March 31st
Newry Half Marathon – June 3rd
Lisburn Half Marathon – June 20th
Ards Half Marathon  - June 29th
Dervock McArthur Marathon and Half Marathon- July 21st
Cookstown Half Marathon  - July 29th
Manorhamilton Co Leitrim – Sept 8th or Waterside Sept 9th
