Athletics NI Development Pathway
The ‘Rising Stars’ is the development initiative which also includes athletes with a disability; these athletes must achieve standards to be part of the squad. After one/two years within the Rising Stars it is hoped that the athletes progress to be part of the Youth Academy through its set of standards.
Athletes then progress up through the Youth Academy to Performer Development Centres and then progress on to Elite level within the Sports Institute for Northern Ireland.
For further information on these squads please contact the Development team at Athletics House on 028 90602707.
